It's located on Cedar Creek Lake and includes a canoe and kayaks. Great as a hotel for activities in Dallas, or you could just vacation here.

In the castle- A TV room for movie night, multiple balconies for taking in views of the lake. A kids bunk room with 3 bunk beds, a woodburning fireplace, and a gas grill outside. Also there is a nice firepit and plenty of room for kids to run around outside.

You can grab a coffee or pastry at The Pharmacy to start your day and really spend hours in the kitchy boutiques and gourmet stores on Main. Also right in that area is Burger Burger, if you are traveling with kids it's a safe bet that everyone will find something they can eat. Burgers, gourmet salads, and the elusive chicken tender basket can be found here.

Hike Enchanted Rock

Scoot out of town and take the Enchanted Rock hike. Open daily from 630 am to 10 pm, it offers 11 miles of hiking trails. The one everyone comes for is the Summit Trail, this one isn't very long. On the last busy day it took less than 2 hours round trip. The Summit Trail offers the most beautiful sweeping views of the Texas Hill Country. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes. The folks in flip flops never look very comfortable on the last section.
