Beach Day
R.A. Apffel Park/East Beach (The Fun Beach) If you are visiting from out of town, or just want to pack light for a beach day, check out East Beach. There are beach chairs and umbrellas for rental, picnic tables, and restrooms with showers. Closer to the beach you can play sand volleyball, or have a picnic at one of the tables.

If you are vacationing in Galveston, Pleasure Pier is a great place to spend a day. The Galaxy Ferris wheel is lit up at night, a great vantage point to see all of Galveston.
